Awards

UCOS has received awards and a patent for its innovative features.

The United States Patent Office issued patent number 5,812,394 to Control Systems International, Inc., for the technology underlying UCOS. This break-through technology provides a new paradigm for control logic configurations.

The patent was awarded to CSI for the "object-oriented computer program, system, method for developing control schemes for facilities."

As the patent abstract states, "the development system integrates in a graphical format the physical description of the facility with the logical instructions which define the control scheme for the facility. These logical instructions unify the configuration of analog/regulatory control with the configuration of the discrete/sequential/interlocking control." The result is a control program that is easy to develop, understand and maintain.

Silicon Prairie Technology of the Year Award

CSI's UCOS received the Silicon Prairie Technology Association Award in the information technology category.

The award recognizes companies on the leading edge of innovative technology development.

Control Engineering Editors Choice Award

UCOS was chosen by Control Engineering Magazine as one of the best and brightest new products for process control.
