Project Manager

Our UK office needs an experienced Project Manager to plan, design, build, deploy, and support business systems that manage everything from equipment operations to inventory control to accounting at fuel depots. You will administer the technical, financial, personnel, and commercial aspects of these business system projects.

The Project Manager is responsible for bringing a project to successful completion by meeting the specifications agreed to by the customer and by meeting or beating the agreed upon deadlines and budget.

The successful candidate should be comfortable pursuing projects using methods that adhere to written company policies ... comfortable thinking on his/her feet ... and knowing when each of these behaviors is appropriate.

Although our core application software is developed and maintained by a full-time software engineering staff, the Project Manager will be responsible for defining and/or implementing custom database modifications. So, you need a working knowledge of database application design and configuration.

In addition, you need a working knowledge of continuous process and/or batch control applications, serial and network communications interface to peripherals, and 2 to 5 solid years work experience with DCS systems, PLCs, or other related equipment.

You also must have managed projects and engineers (more than just yourself) for at least 2 years. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred but not required, if you've got the appropriate background. Experience in the energy distribution sector is a plus.

You also might get to see the world because this position involves domestic and international travel.

Send your resume via email or fax to the attention of the General Manager. State the position you'd like to apply for.
