BP Amsterdam

Application:

Facility monitoring and control, management of bulk storage and product distribution and receipt.

Scale:

Eight truck loading bays, two LPG loading bays, two sea-going marine jetties, five barge jetties, and 77 storage tanks serving 50 carriers and 1,000 drivers.

Solutions:

CSI's terminal automation system allowed BP Amsterdam to upgrade their legacy terminal automation system but keep the varied brands of hardware including TI PLCs, Enraf tank gauging, Contrec DETs, Berkel batch/scale controllers, and Mitsubishi PLCs monitoring and controlling more than 4,000 I/O points.

BP Amsterdam also uses CSI's FUEL-FACS+ net to allow BP Amsterdam and BP Corporate personnel to access the various business components of the system, such as serving reports and transaction data, securely over the Internet.

Scope:

Project management, specification development, advanced application development, systems and equipment acquisition, system configuration and testing, instrument engineering, drawings and documentation, installation and commissioning, training, product and system support, field services.
