UCOS does not force you to upgrade everything all at once. Schedule upgrades when they fit into your budget and strategy.

Since many control systems are supplied by hardware manufacturers, they naturally want you to upgrade all your hardware at the same time you upgrade your control system.

To that end, many control systems deliver the latest software technology only if you are using the latest hardware.

But UCOS can deliver cutting-edge, powerful new automation technology using older equipment as well as the latest hardware. You don't have to buy all new hardware when you upgrade your control system – not unless you really need it.

Perhaps even more important, when you do want to upgrade your hardware, UCOS does not require you to re-engineer your system. Since UCOS is hardware independent, the logic you create for one brand of valve actuator will work equally well with another brand.

That way, you can schedule hardware and software upgrades as your needs and budget dictate – not as your control system vendor dictates.
