Supports Your Existing Hardware
UCOS supports so many different hardware makes and models that it probably supports what you're using now or what you plan to use.

If you're considering upgrading your existing system to UCOS, you won't necessarily need to purchase all new hardware just to take advantage of the latest control system technologies, because UCOS probably supports your existing hardware.
If you're automating for the first time, UCOS lets you choose the hardware that best fits your needs and budget. It then makes that hardware work together – even if you are mixing different makes and models.
Details
Many control systems are sold by control hardware manufacturers. They often make their software more compatible with their own hardware than with other manufacturers' hardware, for obvious reasons.
So, if you choose their software, you are often locked into their hardware. Unfortunately, single-sourced goods tend to be more expensive than goods available from multiple competitive sources.
CSI does not manufacturer any hardware. Our commitment is to provide open software systems that are compatible with hardware available from multiple vendors and multiple, competitive sources.
For example, UCOS supports I/O from more than 20 manufacturers.
With UCOS, hardware requirements are dictated by the requirements of your project, not by the control software. This balances flexibility and cost effectiveness without compromising either.
As a result, both initial control system procurement costs and long-term maintenance costs are significantly reduced.
