Supports New & Future Hardware

UCOS supports the latest, industry-standard technologies. Its unique design also allows it to be compatible with future hardware.

UCOS Supports New and Future Hardware

Most hardware-focused control system manufacturers provide migration paths for their own hardware. But they don't provide a migration path away from their hardware.

What if you want to change to a different brand of I/O?

UCOS makes it easy to do that. UCOS includes several unique features that allow it to be compatible with old, new, and future hardware – whoever manufactures it:

  • The hardware configuration interface in UCOS is the same regardless of the manufacturer. (Screen shot 18K)
  • For any given type of device, the device logic in UCOS is the same regardless of the manufacturer. For example, you can replace a valve with a similar type of valve from a different manufacturer and not have to change the logic.
  • UCOS can interface with hardware it does not directly support by using third-party drivers, which can usually be acquired through CSI or the hardware's manufacturer.
  • CSI can quickly add direct support for new hardware because UCOS is an object-oriented system.

These features help ensure a future migration path whether you keep your hardware or replace it.
