Tag-based Logic

Tag-based logic eliminates the need to manually coordinate memory addresses between PLCs and your UCOS HMI.

Traditional control systems often require you to keep track of memory addresses or coordinate them among the design, logic, and HMI. This is rather tedious, error-prone, and time-consuming.

With UCOS tag-based logic, you don't have to remember or lookup memory addresses or function block codes.

Simply select the device template on which to base the new device, give it a new name, and UCOS automatically creates a complete device, including tag and alarm definitions, faceplate command window, HMI graphic, etc.

The tag definitions are automatically tied to the memory addresses in that device's controller, as well as to the appropriate dynamic associated with the device's HMI graphic. For example, the tag that determines whether a valve symbol displays in red, green, or yellow is automatically tied to that dynamic in the HMI symbol.

In addition to saving time and minimizing human error during the development stage, this approach is much easier to support and enhance.
