Sewage treatment facilities.

Scale & Solutions:

Both facilities are operated from a single UCOS system. There is one Engineering Workstation (EWS) connected via TCP/IP to three Operator Workstations (OWS). One OWS also serves as the Process Historical Archiver.

These workstations provide the operator interface to the three real-time controllers which process logic and scan the Allen-Bradley 1794 I/O subsystems encompassing 2,700 points distributed over 21 I/O racks.

All of the HMI screens, alarm logs, and tag definitions were written in Norwegian, which simplified training and daily operations.

Scope:

Engineering provided by Hitec, Miljø which learned, designed, developed, configured, and tested the UCOS system in six weeks. CSI provided training, product and system support, field services.
